This photograph of the Angel of the North was one of those opportunist shots.
I was passenger in a car travelling south when I realised there was a chance of a picture from an unusual angle.

Rosalind say's she was travelling at around 60mph when I took the picture. I only got two off and this was the best.
I like the Autumn colours of foliage and also the opportunity to take some portrait format scenes.
But for the rear lights on the car and the patch of bracken one would think that this was a monochrome picture.
The estuary is at Arnside, North Lancashire and the Autumn colours were on Warton Crag near Carnforth, Lancs. Letterbox format suits many landscape pictures.
The mountain is the 'Sleeping Warrior' on the Isle of Arran.
